i-Grants ("we", "us", "the platform") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you provide when using i-grants.com and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed), country, account type (freelancer or client).
  • Profile data: avatar, bio, skills, languages, education, work experience, portfolio, hourly rate, contact information.
  • Financial data: transaction history, wallet balance, payment identifiers from Stripe or PayPal (full card data is never stored on our servers — it is handled by the payment providers).
  • Interaction data: projects, proposals, contracts, chat messages, reviews, disputes.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, cookies, pages visited, timestamps.
  • Verification documents: copies of identity or business-registration documents, if you choose to complete verification.

2. Purposes and legal bases

  • Providing the service — account management, fulfilment of contracts between clients and freelancers (basis: performance of a contract).
  • Payments and fees — subscriptions, wallet top-ups, escrow, payouts, refunds.
  • Security and fraud prevention — anomaly detection, anti-spam, identity verification.
  • Product improvement — usage analytics, A/B testing.
  • Marketing communication — newsletters and updates with your consent (which you may withdraw at any time).

3. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal data. Limited sharing occurs with:

  • Payment providers (Stripe, PayPal) — only the data needed to process a specific payment.
  • Email and cloud-infrastructure providers — strictly within the scope required to deliver the service.
  • Other platform users — the public portion of your profile (name, photo, skills, reviews) is visible to other users; sensitive fields (email, phone, balance) remain private.
  • Government authorities — upon a lawful written request.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for session authentication, language preferences, analytics, and anti-spam. You may disable cookies in your browser, but some features may become unavailable.

5. Storage and security

We apply technical and organisational safeguards: password hashing, HTTPS, access controls, monitoring. No system is fully secure — if you suspect compromise, please contact our support.

Personal data is kept for as long as needed to provide the service, and then within the term required by law.

7. Children

The platform is not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you discover such data, please notify us and we will remove it.
